QR Code Generator
Make a QR code for a link, a WhatsApp chat, your WiFi network or a contact card. Everything runs inside your browser, so nothing you type is ever uploaded. No watermark, no expiry, no account.
How to use the QR code you just made
Download it as a PNG, then place it wherever your customers already are: a shop window, a receipt, a delivery box, a business card, a poster at an event. When someone points their phone camera at it, the link opens without them typing anything.
Which type should I choose?
- Link sends people to any web address: your site, a menu, a Google form, a product page.
- WhatsApp opens a chat with you, with the first message already written. Best for shopfronts and posters, because the customer only has to press send.
- WiFi connects a phone to your network without anyone reading out a password. Restaurants and guest houses use this most.
- Contact card saves your name, business, phone and email straight into their phone. Useful on a business card.
Does the code expire?
No. This tool writes your information directly into the pattern rather than pointing at a short link owned by somebody else. That means it keeps working forever, and it also means nobody can track scans or redirect it later. Many free generators give you a redirect link that stops working once a trial ends, and your printed posters die with it.
Is my information private?
Yes. The code is built by JavaScript running on your own device. Your WiFi password or phone number is never sent to us or to anyone else. You can confirm this by turning off your internet connection after the page loads: the generator keeps working.
Print it big enough
As a rough rule, a QR code needs to be about a tenth of the distance it will be scanned from. A code read at arm's length can be 2 to 3 cm. A code on a wall people scan from three metres away needs to be roughly 30 cm across. Keep the white border around it, because scanners use that space to find the pattern, and test with a real phone before you print a hundred copies.
