Google Review Link Generator
Most customers who would happily leave you a review never find the button. This turns your business into a link that opens the review box directly, with a QR code and a printable card for your counter.
A Place ID looks like ChIJN1t_tDeuEmsRUsoyG83frY4. It is public information, not a secret.
How to find yours:
- Open Google's official Place ID Finder.
- Type your business name and town into the search box on the map.
- Click your business in the results.
- Copy the Place ID shown in the popup and paste it above.
Why a direct link works better than asking
Telling a happy customer to "find us on Google and leave a review" asks them to do four or five things: open Maps, search, pick the right listing, scroll, then find the stars. Most people mean to and never do. A direct link skips all of it and drops them straight into the review box, so the only thing left is choosing the stars and typing a sentence.
Where to put it
- Print the card and stand it on your counter or table.
- Put the QR code on the receipt or the delivery box.
- Send the link on WhatsApp the day after a job is finished, when the customer is still pleased.
- Add it to your email signature.
Ask at the right moment
The best time is immediately after something has gone well: the meal was good, the repair worked, the delivery arrived early. Ask then, in person, and hand them the card. A review request sent two weeks later to a customer who has forgotten you is mostly wasted.
What not to do
Do not offer discounts or free items in exchange for reviews. Google's policies prohibit incentivised reviews, and listings that do it can have reviews removed or the profile penalised. Do not filter who you ask either, by checking first whether someone is happy and only giving the link to those who say yes. Ask everybody, and treat the occasional poor review as useful information rather than a disaster. A profile with nothing but five stars reads as suspicious anyway.
Is any of this sent to us?
No. The link and the card are built inside your browser, and the QR code is generated on your device by our own code rather than a third-party service. Nothing you type here is uploaded anywhere.
